How do I use Draft Mode?

Learn how to enable Draft Mode so you can review and batch your orders before sending them out for delivery.

Draft Mode gives you full control over when your orders are sent out for delivery. Instead of orders being automatically pushed to swftbox for fulfillment as soon as they come in, Draft Mode holds them in a "Draft" status until you manually review and release them.

When should I use Draft Mode?

Draft Mode is ideal if you:

  • Want to review orders before shipping — Double-check items, addresses, or special instructions before committing to delivery.

  • Prefer to batch your shipments — If you have a busy schedule, you can let orders accumulate and push them all at once when you're ready.

  • Need time to prepare packages — Hold orders in draft until your products are packed and ready to go.

How to enable Draft Mode

  1. Log in to your Control Room at controlroom.swftbox.com.

  2. Go to Configurations from the left sidebar.

  3. Under the Order Settings section, find the Draft Mode toggle.

  4. Switch the toggle to On.

  5. Click Save to apply your changes.

Once enabled, all new incoming orders (whether from your Shopify store, WooCommerce, or manual entry) will land in Draft status instead of being sent directly to swftbox for pickup.

How to release orders from Draft If an order ends up in draft status due to system issues, such as account suspension, you can manually process it to move it into the dispatch workflow. This ensures that all orders are included in the delivery process.

When you're ready to ship your orders:

  1. Go to the Orders page in your Control Room.

  2. You will see your orders listed with a Draft status badge.

  3. Select the orders you want to release — you can pick individual orders or select all.

  4. Click Push to Requested to move them into the delivery queue.

Once pushed, swftbox will schedule a pickup and your orders will follow the normal delivery flow (Requested → Assigned → In Transit → Delivered).

Good to know

  • You can turn Draft Mode on and off at any time from Configurations.

  • Draft orders are not visible to your customers — they will not receive any tracking notifications until you push the order.

  • If you use Draft Mode with a Shopify or WooCommerce integration, orders will still sync automatically into your Control Room. They will just wait in Draft instead of going straight to delivery.

  • Orders may also be placed in draft status if your account is temporarily suspended. These orders will need to be manually processed to move them into the dispatch workflow.

  • Ensure all draft orders are pushed to "Live" status before the scheduled pickup time to avoid missed pickups.
