At The Switch direct debit is our preferred method when it comes to rent payments. It is easy to set up and allows you to have full control via The Switch app. Automatic payment means you don't have to remember to pay the bill, and you don't risk any late fees.

You can select to pay through the The Switch App by an Australian Bank Account (no fees) or Australian issued Visa/MasterCard cards (1% surcharge for every transaction). Please note the surcharge will be 2.9% per transaction if you use Non-Australian issued Visa/MasterCard. By doing so you can check your upcoming payments and past transactions easily via the app.

Your rental payments will come out automatically from your chosen payment method when they are due. If you have registered your Australian number, you will receive text reminders 3 days before your payment will be deducted.

If your payments fails, the app will automatically retry the payment in 48 hours.

Please note payments will not be deducted on weekends or public holidays and will come out of your account the following business day. You can check out about our detailed blog on direct debit with The Switch on our website here: https://www.switchliving.com.au/student-guide/campus-life/direct-debit-at-the-switch/

If you have any questions please use the chat feature on our app to speak to a staff member.
