Accessing the system
To get started, you'll receive a link. Simply copy and paste it into your browser. Then, use the username and password your system administrator provided.
Home page
Upon login, you'll land on the Contractor Home page. Above, you'll notice a blue banner. Below, there's a list of timesheet tiles representing all the timesheets to date that need to be submitted. They are displayed in date order with the most overdue first.
Click the arrows to navigate through your timesheets. Enter your worked hours, hit 'Submit,' and await approval.
Top Tip! For convenience, use the 'Load from previous week' toggle for recurring hours.
Keep an eye out for a red triangle – it indicates a query from your approver. You will need to address the query and re-submit the timesheet.
Changes to a timesheet are saved automatically when another timesheet is selected. The ‘Clear’ button will reset the timesheet to a blank state. If you wish, you can enter text in the ‘Comments’ box that the approver will then be able to see.
The ‘I am not working’ tick box enables you to submit a timesheet for a week in your booking when you had time off. Upon clicking the tick box you will be required to select a reason from the options provided.
Clicking the ‘Claimable expenses’ link will open a new tab in your browser, that will provide information on how you may submit variable expenses such as travel costs.
Clicking ‘Submit’ will complete the process and send your timesheet onto the approver.
History page
This page will list timesheets that you have submitted. By default the list will only show those timesheets that have been submitted but not yet approved (Awaiting authorisation).
If you wish to see your timesheets that are ‘Awaiting payment’ or that have been ‘Paid’, you can use the Filters function on the right hand side of the page to select a different timesheet status.
You can click on the ‘Client’ or ‘Week end date’ column headings to change the sort order of timesheets displayed. Clicking ‘View’ on the right hand side will expand the selected timesheet to show the details within.
The Filters function allows you to use criteria such as ‘Client name’ or a date range to refine the list of timesheets displayed.

When you click on your name within the blue banner at the top of the page, you are presented with the following two options:

Preferences page
This page displays some basic details about you and allows you to store an email address and mobile number so that you may receive notifications from the Timeline system via email and/or SMS.
My account page
Clicking this option will open a new tab in your browser where you will be able to view details stored on your user profile.
Help Icon
Clicking this will open a new tab in your browser, that will provide information on how you may get assistance in using the Timeline system.
Logout Icon
Clicking this will log you out of the Timeline system. Your browser will be redirected to the login page.
