Approver Home page
This is the page you will see first when logging on to the Timeline system as an approver.
Timesheets needing approval are listed on this screen. The first timesheet is expanded ready for you to view the details and perform an action. The three actions you can perform on a timesheet are
Approve a timesheet
Clicking the ‘Approve’ button will cause the timesheet to disappear from this screen and it will be ready for the payroll team to pick up (via Talisman Pay & Bill). The status of the timesheet will be updated to ‘Awaiting Payment’.
Query a timesheet
Clicking the ‘Query’ button will cause a pop-up to appear in which you will be able to select a reason for your query and enter an additional comment as needed. Once the ‘Submit Query’ button is clicked the timesheet will disappear from this screen and be returned to your contractor for resubmittal. The status of the timesheet will be updated to ‘Queried’.
Edit a timesheet
Clicking the ‘Edit’ button will allow you to amend the time submitted by your contractor. You can then click ‘Save’ or ‘Cancel’ to exit Edit mode and see the three action buttons again.
If your contractor has included a comment on the timesheet then this will be displayed just above the three action buttons on the timesheet.
Clicking ‘Hide’ on an expanded timesheet will minimise it. Clicking ‘Expand all’ (right hand side, near the top) will expand all timesheets listed and change the text to ‘Hide all’. Clicking ‘Hide all’ will minimise all timesheets listed and change the text back to ‘Expand all’.
Timesheets listed may be sorted in a different order by clicking the list column headings for ‘Client Name’, ‘Contractor’ or ‘Week end date’.
There is also a Filters function that can be used refine the list of timesheets by selecting a date range or specific contractor for example.
Approver History page
This page will list timesheets that you have approved.
By default the list will only show those timesheets that have been approved but not yet paid (Awaiting payment).
If you wish to see timesheets that have been ‘Paid’, you can use the Filters function on the right hand side of the page to select a different timesheet status.
You can click on the ‘Client’ or ‘Week end date’ column headings to change the sort order of the timesheets displayed.
Clicking ‘View’ on the right hand side will expand the selected timesheet to show the details within.
The Filters function allows you to use criteria such as ‘Client name’ or a date range to refine the list of timesheets displayed.
Approver ‘My Contractors’ page
This page will list the contractors that you will be able to approve.
You can click on the ‘Surname’, ‘First name’ or ‘Contractor ID’ column headings to change the sort order of the contractors listed.
Clicking ‘View timesheets’ on the right hand side will enable you to see a list of timesheets for your chosen contractor.
The Filters function allows you to use criteria such as ‘Surname’ or ‘First name’ to refine the list of contractors displayed.

When you click on your name within the blue banner at the top of the page, you are presented with the following two options:

On the right hand side of the blue banner are some icons. These icons represent the following two functions:

Preferences page
This page displays some basic details about you and allows you to store an email address and mobile number so that you may receive notifications from the Timeline system via email and/or SMS.
My account page
Clicking this option will open a new tab in your browser where you will be able to view details stored on your user profile.
Help Icon
Clicking this will open a new tab in your browser, that will provide information on how you may get assistance in using the Timeline system.
Logout Icon
Clicking this will log you out of the Timeline system. Your browser will be redirected to the login page.
