One of the last steps when you sign up on TalkingPoints is selecting your school. This school will be listed when you send an initial message to your families. However, many teachers belong to several institutions, not just one.
You can also type in your own school if it is not listed, then press Enter on your keyboard.
While only one school can be listed on your TalkingPoints account, the school you list will not have any effect on your usage of the app, so you can simply choose one of your schools to list.
For your classes that are at a different school, we suggest including the name of the school in your class title (e.g., “Algebra I – Sunnyvale Middle School”). Families who join your class will then see this entire class title. You can change your class name at any time!
If you cannot edit your class names, you are part of a school- or district-wide TalkingPoints account. Your administrators will be able to list you at multiple schools.
