Before You Start
There are two things you need before you can view a co-teacher's messages:
You and your co-teacher must both be added as teachers for the class in your school or district's synced student information system (SIS) information. If you are not both listed as teachers for that class, the "View chat as" option will not work.
❗ If you and your co-teacher are both not yet added to your shared class, please reach out to the appropriate contact at your school or district. The connection of you and your co-teacher must be made by administrators in your SIS in order to flow into TalkingPoints.
Your co-teacher must have already messaged the family. The "View chat as" option only appears after a teacher starts a conversation with a family.
📝 Tip: If your co-teacher hasn't messaged the family yet, ask them to send a quick message first. It's also a good idea to let the family know that more than one teacher may be reaching out to them. This helps avoid confusion, and create a positive experience when messaging with families!

Method 1: Message Thread View
Go to Messages.
Click on a message thread.
Click the three dots (⋮).
Select View chat as.
Choose the teacher whose conversation you want to see.
You'll now see their conversation with the family.
To switch views: Click Switch view at any time to see your own messages or another teacher's messages.
Method 2: Class List View
Choose a class.
Find the parent whose message thread you want to see. Click the message icon next to their name.
Open the message thread.
Select View chat as.
Mobile App 📲
Go to See All under Recent Messages.
Tap on a message thread.
Tap the three dots (⋮).
Select View chat as.
Choose the teacher whose conversation you want to see.
