Send an Audio Message

Learn how to create and send a TalkingPoints audio message.

Updated over a week ago

Ensure EVERY family hears from you. Create audio messages and let TalkingPoints do the work of translating before sending the message in audio form.

You will only see this feature if your district purchased Admin Family Connect.

Step 1: Click 'Send a Message'.

Step 2: Select the microphone.

Step 3: Click 'Record'.

Step 4: Record your message. You will see a countdown from 45 seconds.

Step 5: Once you are finished recording, click the stop button.

Step 6: If you would like, you can edit the transcription.

Note: If you edit the transcription too much, you will get a warning. You can choose to keep the edited transcription, and all audio files will be spoken by a recorded voice, or you can choose to revert your transcription back to match the original spoken audio.

Step 7: Choose a feminine or masculine voice for the translated audio files. This voice will be used in the translated version of the audio file, and for English if the audio is recorded directly from a written transcript.

Step 8: Click 'Add Recording'.

Step 9: Continue constructing your message by selecting recipients, writing a message and scheduling or sending the message.
