Updated over a month ago

Analytics for teachers are broken down into 2 categories: Activity, and Family details. To view, customize, and print these analytics, follow the steps below.

Activity Data

At the top of the analytics page, select whether you want to view data for all classes or a specific class.

Then, follow the steps below!

Step 1: Select the 'Analytics' tab.

Step 2: Choose a predetermined date range, or select your own in 'Custom Range.'

Step 3: Click 'Apply.' Message and announcement data for the selected date range will populate.

Step 4: Click through the types to see daily, weekly, or monthly statistics.

Family Details

Scroll past Activity data to see family details. Family details are broken down into 5 sections, each with downloadable graphs:

  • Contacts by language indicates the breakdown of home languages for all contacts. Check out our writing tips to ensure your messages translate well for multilingual families.

  • ELL students show the proportion of those who are marked as English Language Learners by either yourself or the school.

  • Valid phone numbers indicates families who are missing a valid cell phone number and therefore not receiving TalkingPoints messages. Select 'Click here' to download the list of contacts you should follow up with to update their cell phone number.

  • Subscribed families shows the proportion of families who have unsubscribed from your classroom. You can see a detailed list under your class details.

  • Contacts by platform indicates how families are connected to your classroom. We always encourage using the TalkingPoints for Families app for the best experience!
