What Is This Feature?
Home Activity Suggestions help you send AI-powered messages to families with simple, grade-level activities they can do at home to support learning—without needing to plan or write them yourself.
💬 Messages are ready to send in seconds
🧠 Activities are aligned to topics you provide—no need to match standards yourself
✅ Use it weekly to keep families engaged
📚 Specify topics like “comparing fractions” or “reading nonfiction”
🧒 Tailor messages to different groups (ex: send a math tip to one class, a reading tip to another)
Why It Matters
Families want to support learning at home, but often:
Don’t know what their child is working on
Aren’t sure how to help in a way that’s developmentally appropriate
Teachers don’t always have time to:
Translate standards into activities
Write custom instructions for home learning
This tool makes it easy.
🧭 Where to Find It
From your Home page, look for the blue box on the right:
"Reinforce academics at home"
Click the box to launch the Home Activity Suggestions tool
✍️ How to Generate a Home Activity Prompt
Choose a Grade level (K–8 only)
Enter a Topic (ex: fractions, main idea, animal habitats)
This helps the AI tailor the activity
(Optional) Add more info to refine the prompt.
Some suggestions for more info include academic standards, district/school-specific goals, testing requirements, etc.
Click Generate Activity
💡 You’ll instantly get a ready-to-send idea!
📤 What You Can Do Next
After you see the suggested activity, choose from these three options:
Option | What It Does |
🔙 Back | Return to edit the grade or topic |
🔄 Generate new idea | See a new version of the message for the same topic |
📩 Select recipients | Choose who to send the message to (group or direct message) |
Once you select recipients, the message opens in the regular compose window, where you can:
Edit or personalize the message
Add attachments
Send or schedule it
