You can quickly:

Understand attendance patterns

Plan the right support or intervention

ℹ️ Important: This feature is only available if your district has:

The Attendance Improvement Plus package enabled, or
Standalone Attendance (teachers will not be able to view Student Attendance Profiles if your district has enabled standalone Attendance.)

How to access the Student Attendance Profile 🔍

You can open a student’s profile in several ways:

From student lists

Click the 3-dot menu on a student
Select View attendance

From attendance pages

Click a student’s name from:
- District attendance tiers
- School attendance dashboard
- Attendance trends pages

From messages

Open a student conversation
Go to the Attendance or Messages tab

Permissions 🔐

Access depends on your role:

District users: Must have View district attendance
School users: Must have View school-wide attendance
Teachers: No extra permissions needed if their district has Attendance Plus enabled.

ℹ️ Important: You can only see full intervention notes for interventions you created.

How attendance data works ⚙️

Data comes from your Student Information System (SIS)
It syncs through the TalkingPoints Connector
AI analyzes the data to:
- Find patterns
- Generate insights
- Suggest next steps

Manage interventions 🛠️

➕ Add an intervention

Click + Add in the Attendance & Intervention Journey
Fill in required fields:
- Intervention type
- Status
- Date (cannot be in the future)
(Optional) Add notes
Click Add

You’ll see a confirmation when it’s saved ✔

Edit an intervention ✏️

You can only edit interventions you created
Make changes → Click Save

Delete an intervention 🗑️

You can only delete interventions you created

Select the intervention
Confirm deletion

Understand intervention types 🔄

Targeted messages
- Created automatically
- Cannot be edited or deleted
- Labeled clearly in the timeline
Manual interventions
- Added by users
- Can be edited or deleted by the creator

Pro Tips for Student Attendance Profile ✏️

Teachers cannot access this feature with Standalone Attendance
“Absence rates per period” only appears if:
- Your school sends period-level data, and
- The feature is enabled
Intervention notes are private to the creator
Calendar only shows the current school year (starting July 1)
You cannot add interventions for future dates
