For: District Admins & School Admins of AFC+, School Engagement, and District Engagement partners
❗ This feature is coming soon! If you are a current TalkingPoints partner with a AFC+, School Engagement or District Engagement package, look for this new functionality in September 2026.
If you send similar forms often — like the same permission slip every year — a template can save you time. A template stores a form's questions, sections, and settings so you can reuse it whenever you need it.
Saving a Form as a Template
You can save a template from any form, at any point while you're building it.
Open the form you want to save.
Click Save as Template at the top of the page.
Your template keeps everything from the form: all questions, sections, images, descriptions, and toggles (like required questions or signatures).
Sharing a Template With Others
If you're an admin, you can share templates with users below your level:
District (DP) admins can share templates with District, School, and Teacher users.
School (SP) admins can share templates with School and Teacher users.
When you create a template, you'll choose which levels can use it. Your own level always has access automatically.
Good to know: Users who receive a shared template can use it, but they can't delete it. Only an admin at the level where the template was created can delete it — even if someone else on their team is the one who made it. Unlike message templates, form templates don't have folders to organize them in.
Viewing Templates
To see your templates, go to Shared Content > Forms, then click the Templates tab. You'll see:
Templates you created yourself
Templates shared with you by an admin above your level
If you're a School or Teacher user, templates shared with you are labeled so you can tell them apart from your own.
Using a Template
When you're ready to use a template:
Go to the Templates tab.
Find the template you want.
Click the three dots next to it and choose Use template.
This creates a new draft form with all the same content as the template, ready for you to edit or send as-is. The new draft keeps the same title as the template.
