βœ… Understanding Tasks in TalleFlow

Track work, stay organized, and keep projects moving.

πŸ“Œ What Are Tasks?

Tasks are individual action items that help you manage the work that needs to get done. They can live on their own or be linked to a specific project or contact.

Use tasks to:

  • Break down client deliverables

  • Track internal workflows

  • Assign responsibilities

  • Attach files and due dates

  • View everything from one place

πŸ›  Creating Tasks

You can create tasks in four ways:

  • From the Tasks Page β†’ Click Create Task

  • Inside a Project β†’ Tasks are tied to that specific project

  • From the Calendar β†’ Choose a date and create a task directly

  • Using the + New Button β†’ Quick entry from anywhere

Task Setup Includes:

  • Task Name (required): Give it a clear, actionable title

  • Project: Optional link to a specific project

  • Description: Add context or instructions

  • Start & Due Dates: Schedule the work

  • Status: To Do, In Progress, Blocked, Completed

  • Priority: High, Regular, or Low

  • Attachments: Upload supporting files

  • People: Assign tasks to clients or team members

πŸ‘₯ Task Assignment & People Tab

You can assign a task to:

  • Yourself

  • A team member

  • A linked contact (great for client tasks)

Just go to the People tab and search for the person you want to add.

🧾 Task Views & Organization

Switch between multiple views to manage your workflow:

  • Table View – Traditional list with sortable columns

  • Kanban Board – Drag-and-drop across status columns

  • Calendar View (Coming Soon) – View tasks by due date

  • Project View – See tasks inside each project

Each task shows status, priority, due date, and links to its project/contact.

✏️ Managing Tasks

  • Click on any task to edit its details

  • Update status as work progresses

  • Drag tasks across columns in Kanban view

  • Use filters, columns, and grouping to stay organized

  • Attach documents and leave internal notes or comments

πŸ“ˆ Best Practices

πŸ’‘ Use clear task titles – like β€œSend Final Invoice” or β€œDesign Moodboard”
πŸ’‘ Assign due dates to stay on track
πŸ’‘ Group related tasks under the same project
πŸ’‘ Break big tasks into smaller, actionable steps
πŸ’‘ Use comments to track updates, approvals, or decisions
πŸ’‘ Attach reference files or links directly to the task
