If you get a "missing permissions" error when connecting the Taplio MCP connector in Claude, and your Claude account is provided by your organization (Team or Enterprise plan), this is expected: it's not a bug.
Why this happens
On Claude Team and Enterprise plans, members can't add custom connectors themselves. An Organization Owner must first add the connector for the whole organization. Until then, any member who tries to connect sees a missing permissions error.
How to check if you're affected
Are you using your personal Claude account, or one provided by your organization?
Personal account (Free, Pro or Max): you can add the Taplio custom connector yourself, no organization setup needed.
Organization account (Team or Enterprise): an Organization Owner needs to add the connector first, following the steps below.
How an Organization Owner adds the Taplio connector
Go to Organization Settings → Customize.
Click Connectors.
Click the + button.
Select Add custom connector.
Set the name to Taplio and the Remote MCP Server URL to
https://mcp.taplio.com/.Click Add.
Once the connector is added for the organization, each member can open their own Connectors settings and sign in with their own Taplio account.
Still stuck?
If an Owner has already added the connector and you still can't connect Taplio MCP, send us a message in the chat so we can check your account.
