Overview:

With BayEngage, you can send or schedule an email campaign to your contacts from a list or a segment.

To schedule a campaign, you should keep the following ready:

  • Contact list/segment

  • Validated company email address

  • Email design

How To Create A Campaign On BayEngage?

Here's a quick video on how to set up a campaign on BayEngage.

Steps to create a campaign on BayEngage:

  1. Login to your BayEngage account and click on “Campaigns”.

Now click on “Create Campaign”.

  1. Select a Campaign Type.

Once you click on the “Standard” option, click on the “Next” button. You’ll now be taken to the next screen where you can start setting up your campaign.

Begin by adding recipients. You can add the list of contacts to whom you want this campaign to be sent.

  • Choose an existing list that you want to send the campaign. You can add more than one list

  • You can also exclude recipients by creating a new list where you can add users whom you do not want to send the campaign (even if they are on the sending list)

  • “CALCULATED TOTAL RECIPIENTS” will display the approximate number of recipients. This will exclude all the duplicates and unsubscribe emails

  • Delivery control: Enable or disable this option.

  • Personalize the recipient's name: You can enable this option if you want to address the recipient by their first name, last name, or full name. This is more personal and will help avoid spam filters.

Once you are done setting this up, click on the “Save” button.

  • Set up the “From” address: By setting up your from address, you can display a name to the subscribers who receive your email and reply to your subscribers from that email.

Note: Domains from free email providers are not recommended.

  • Create an intriguing subject line: Click on “insert personalization” to personalize your subject line. Without using any code, you can easily personalize your subject lines by simply picking what you want:

  • First name

  • Last name

  • Email

  • Address Street 1

  • Address Street 2

  • City

  • State

  • County

  • Country

  • Country code

  • Zip code

  • Phone

You can also include emojis in your subject line to make it instantly catchy and intriguing.

You can also add a preview text to give your recipients some context and push them to open your emails.

Note: Preview text is the line that appears near the subject line.

  • Email Content: You can create email content by picking a method:

  • Free Email templates

  • Create from Scratch using the Drag and Drop editor

  • Saved templates

How to create an email using email templates on BayEngage?

Click on “choose” in the free email templates category and you’ll be redirected to the template library.

Scroll through the huge collection of templates, search for the theme that you want. You can also find the best fit from the type, seasons, and industry categories.

Once you pick the one you want, you can customize every bit of it.

Swap out the content, images, colors, font style, colors, and more to make it look exactly the way you want.

Once you’re done, click on “Save & return” to continue with your campaign setup.

Note: The email footer requires you to add the sender address and unsubscribe link in the email footer as per the CAN-SPAM laws. If the unsub tag is missing in the footer, it will be auto-injected in the footer tag at the bottom of the email content.

Additionally, you can also create your email from scratch or pick up a template that you have already saved as we already discussed.

UTM tracking: Track the clicks and other metrics of your campaigns by setting up a UTM parameter for your links. By default, there will be some parameters for your UTM links (source, medium & campaign). You can also customize it to your liking.

Schedule your campaign: You can send your campaign by either sending it immediately or scheduling it at a favorable time zone.

Note: By default, the “Send Time” option will be selected in the setting.

Campaign Report: BayEngage gives you an option to track and monitor all your key metrics. Depending on this data, you can tweak your strategies every now and then.

Pause Campaign: When you schedule a campaign, you will have an option to pause your campaign anytime before the sending begins or while a campaign is in the middle of sending.

Once the campaign is paused, the campaign will stop sending emails.

You can also resume the campaign.
