Sending and receiving text messages in VSCO Workspace

With our new Quo (formerly OpenPhone) integration, you can now communicate with your clients and team members by text from VSCO Workspace! Ready to get started?

Manually Sending a Text Message to a Client

Once you've set up your Quo integration in Text Settings, you will now see the option for Send Text anywhere you can compose a message.

From here, you will choose the recipient of your text and select Continue.

You can compose your text and hit send, similar to how you'd text someone from your mobile device. Upon sending, it will update the status of the message and the time it was sent.

As the recipient replies, the thread will continue, like this:

Viewing Your Text Message Conversations in Workspace

Once sent, you can now track a conversation in two places:

  • On the job's Messages tab:

  • On the address book profile of the contacts involved in the conversation:

Text message conversations will also show in the Messages sidebar lists, depending on their status. They will display mixed in with emails, based on the date of the last conversation in the thread.

Note: Text messages will not be assigned to a job because they are contact-based and will therefore show on all leads and jobs the contact is involved in for easy continuation of your conversations with them.

Tip: Create Custom Sidebar Lists for Your Texts

We have added a new Kind filter in the Messages sidebar lists, so you can filter your messages by Mail or Text. If you'd like to see a dedicated list of all synced text messages, you can create a Texts list for easy access like this one:

For a notification on your dashboard for new texts, you can take this one step further by creating an Unread Texts list with the filter below:

You can then enable this list in your Right Now widget on your dashboard to see a tile when you have a new text to respond to:

With our text messaging feature, all conversations sent between you and a contact through your integrated Quo phone number will sync with your VSCO Workspace account in your ongoing message thread!

Sending Text Alerts for Bookable Events

In addition to emails, you can set up automatic text message notifications for your bookable events as well!

By selecting the add text notification option, you can customize the message sent as a stale booking reminder, confirmation or reminder notice to your event attendees for each of your bookable event types.


Get Alerted of New Texts on your Workspace Dashboard

Want to see a notification on your dashboard when you have a new text message to review? While you can get alerts through the Quo mobile app, you can also add a tile to your VSCO Workspace dashboard to quickly see when you have an unread text message that needs to be responded to.

First, you'll create a custom sidebar list in the Messages sidebar section for Unread Texts with the following filters applied:

Then, go through your dashboard's Configure Dashboard button to add this new list to your Right Now widget here:

Now, any time you have unread texts in that list, you'll see an alert on your dashboard!
