The Cancellations settings tab allows you to customize your cancellation process and align your work process with the digital cancellation process of jobs. Access this section by navigating to Settings > Cancellations.
These settings determine how the system handles situations when a driver assigned to a job chooses the cancellation option in the YourDriverApp mobile app.
Cancellation Options
Passenger No Show Flow
Configure the action to take when a driver reports a "passenger no-show" from the mobile app. This scenario occurs when the driver arrives at the pickup location but the passenger is not present.
Available options include:
Auto approve - Automatically approve the cancellation immediately
Auto approve after x minutes - Approve the cancellation after a specified time delay
Driver Sends Canceled by Passenger
Set the action to take when a driver reports that the job was "canceled by passenger" from the app. This applies when the passenger contacts the driver directly to cancel the booking.
Available options include:
Auto approve - Automatically approve the cancellation immediately
Auto approve after x minutes - Approve the cancellation after a specified time delay
Driver Requests Unassign
Define the action to take when a driver reports they are unable to take on the job. This allows drivers to request removal from an assigned job when they cannot complete it.
Available options include:
Auto approve - Automatically approve the unassignment immediately
Auto approve after x minutes - Approve the unassignment after a specified time delay
Saving Changes
After configuring your cancellation workflow preferences, click the Save button to apply your settings.
Why These Settings Matter
Proper cancellation management helps reduce disputes, streamline operations, and maintain clear communication between drivers and dispatchers. Auto-approval settings can speed up the workflow, while delayed approval allows dispatchers to review cancellation requests before they are finalized.
