Getting started with the Web Booker

setup wizard, integration options (video tutorial)

Updated over 2 months ago

This guide helps you set up and integrate your TaxiWebBooker after signing up for the Free Plan.

With the Free Plan, you get access to the Web Booker – a customizable booking widget that you can share with your customers or embed directly into your website.

Step 1: Complete the Setup Wizard

After creating your account, you’ll be guided through the wizard to get your Web Booker ready for use.

  1. General Settings – Configure your currency, date format, and distance units.

  2. Availability Schedule – Define when you’re available for bookings.

  3. Service Area – Specify the geographic areas you serve.

  4. Pricing – Set up your service pricing tiers.

  5. Branding – Choose your main color and upload your logo.

  6. Billing Method – Add your billing details.

Without a valid billing method, your Web Booker will become unavailable once you exceed the number of bookings included in your monthly plan.

See the video below for a quick tutorial on how to complete the setup Wizard for your TaxiWebBooker Account.

Step 2: Integrate Your Web Booker on Your Website

Before customers can start booking rides, you’ll need to integrate the Web Booker into your website. You can choose from the following options:

🔹 Inline-Widget

Embed the Web Booker directly into your website content so customers can book rides without leaving the page.

🔹 Floating-Popup-Widget

Add a floating button to your website that opens the Web Booker in a popup when clicked.

🔹 Popup-Text

Insert a text link anywhere in your content that launches the Web Booker in a popup when clicked.

🔹 WordPress Plugin

Seamlessly integrate the Web Booker into your WordPress site.

  • Download the TaxiWebBooker plugin directly from the WordPress store.

  • Add the plugin to your site.

  • Configure it to launch the Web Booker in a popup window from any trigger (button, link, or menu item).

🔹 iFrame

For websites that don’t support custom widgets, you can insert the Web Booker into your content using an iframe.

Integration Steps (for Inline, Floating, Popup Text, iFrame)

  1. Log in to the Web Portal and go to the Web Booker section.

  2. Select your preferred integration method and click Continue.

  4. Choose the navigation type:

    • Variable widget height (scroll in page)

    • Fixed widget height (scroll inside widget)

    • Fixed widget height (next steps open in popup)

  5. Customize your widget settings:

    • Button style

  6. Select Copy Code and paste it into your website’s source code.

  7. Save and publish the page.

  8. Reload your site in a browser to confirm the Web Booker is visible.

Tip: You can style the <webbooker-widget> element with your own CSS to fine-tune layout, size, and positioning.
