Rescheduling lets a student or parent move an upcoming one-on-one lesson to a different time, straight from their portal. They pick from the times the teacher is actually free, and the lesson moves to the new slot. No ticket is used and the teacher is never paid twice — it's the same lesson at a new time.
This is different from cancelling. Cancelling frees up the lesson and returns the ticket to be used later. Rescheduling keeps the lesson and just changes when it happens.

Before you start
Rescheduling only appears for one-on-one lessons (a class with a single student) that were booked through your booking page. It does not apply to group classes.
Step 1: Turn it on for a student
You enable rescheduling on each student, the same way you set up substitute lessons.
Open the student's profile and click Edit.
Find the Reschedule lessons section.
Tick Allow reschedule of one-on-one lessons.
Click Save.
Do this for each student who should be able to reschedule. If a parent manages the account, they will be able to reschedule for that student too.
Step 2: Set how many reschedules the student gets (optional)
In the same Reschedule lessons section on the student's profile:
Set Reschedules per month.
Click Save.
This caps how many times that student can reschedule in a calendar month. Leave it blank for no limit. This works the same way as the substitute lessons allowance.
Step 3: Set the notice period (optional)
This applies to your whole school, not per student.
Go to Settings, then Portal settings.
Set the Reschedule cutoff — for example, 24 hours.
This controls how close to the lesson a family can still reschedule. With a 24-hour cutoff, the reschedule button disappears once the lesson is less than a day away. Leave it blank to allow rescheduling right up until the lesson starts.
What the student or parent sees
They open the lesson in their portal.
They click Reschedule.
They pick a new time from the teacher's available slots.
They confirm — the lesson moves, everyone gets the updated time, and it syncs to the calendar automatically.
If they can't find a time that works, they can cancel instead and keep the credit for later.
Good to know
The teacher stays the same. A reschedule only offers times that teacher is free, so it never clashes with another lesson.
Tickets are not affected. Rescheduling does not use or refund a ticket.
You stay in control. You turn it on per student, cap how many reschedules they get each month, and set how much notice is required for the whole school.
