Sometimes lessons don’t go ahead as planned. Teach ’n Go gives you flexible options to manage changes while keeping your schedule accurate. Depending on your needs, you can cancel, postpone, reschedule, or substitute the teacher for a lesson.

Students, related contacts and teachers can be notified of changes to lessons through mobile push notifications. Learn more

Cancel a lesson

Cancelling a lesson removes it completely from the system. There will be no record of it.

  1. Open the lesson card from the class page or calendar.

  2. Click the Edit menu.

  3. Select Cancel lesson.

  4. Confirm the cancellation.

Note: Once cancelled, the lesson is deleted. You can add a new lesson later if needed.

Postpone a lesson

Postponing keeps a record of the lesson but marks it as not completed.

  1. Open the lesson card.

  2. Click the Edit menu.

  3. Click Cancel lesson.

  4. Select Postpone lesson instead of cancelling.

The lesson will:

  • Remain in the system

  • Appear as Postponed

  • Stay visible in the calendar in grey

This is useful for tracking missed lessons that may be rescheduled later.

Note: It's possible to un-postpone a postponed lesson by repeating the above steps.

Reschedule a lesson

You can move a lesson to a new date or time.

Option 1: From the lesson card

  1. Open the lesson card.

  2. Click the Date/Time button in the Edit menu.

  3. Select the new date and time.

  4. Save your changes.

Option 2: From the calendar

  • Drag and drop the lesson to a new date or time directly in the Calendar view.

Substitute a teacher

If another teacher needs to take the lesson:

  1. Open the lesson card.

  2. Click the Teacher button in the Edit menu.

  3. Select the new teacher.

  4. Choose whether the change applies to:

    • This lesson only

    • This lesson and all following lessons

    • All lessons

  5. Adjust the teacher fee if required.

  6. Save your changes.

Troubleshooting

  • Option not visible? Make sure you have the necessary permissions.

  • Calendar not updating? Refresh the page after saving changes.

  • Teacher fee incorrect after substitution? Review and adjust the teacher fee before saving.

Teach ’n Go gives you flexible tools to manage unexpected changes while keeping your records organised. Whether you cancel, postpone, reschedule, or substitute a lesson, your schedule remains clear and up to date.
