If a student will be absent for an extended period, you can set a holiday directly on their profile. This helps keep attendance records accurate and prevents unnecessary follow-ups during the holiday period.
Set a holiday for a student
Go to People > Students.
Open the student’s profile.
Click the More button on the right-hand side.
Select Set holiday from the dropdown menu.
In the pop-up window, enter the start date and end date of the holiday period.
Click Save.
The holiday period will now be recorded in the system.
What happens during a student holiday
Lessons during the selected dates will reflect the student’s holiday period.
Attendance tracking remains accurate.
Admins and teachers can clearly see that the absence is planned.
Troubleshooting
Set holiday option not visible? Make sure you have the correct user permissions.
Dates not saving? Check that both start and end dates are selected.
Need to adjust the holiday? Reopen the student profile, click on the Holidays tab to view and update the holiday dates.
