Teach ’n Go allows admins to bulk edit student records by re-importing student data. The system uses the student’s TnG ID as a unique identifier to update the correct profile.
Step 1: Get the student’s TnG ID
Before editing students, you must obtain their TnG ID. There are several ways to find it:
Option 1: From the student profile URL
Open a student profile and check the URL — the TnG ID is included there.
Option 2: Display TnG ID in the student table
Add the TnG ID column to the Students table view.
Option 3: Export student data
Export student data from Teach ’n Go and include the TnG ID in the export file.

Step 2: Prepare your Excel file
You can update student records in two ways:
Option 1 (Recommended):
Download the Teach ’n Go student import template. You'll noticeit contians the field TnG ID.
Option 2:
Use your own Excel file, but make sure it includes a column for the TnG ID.
Update only the fields you wish to change.
⚠️ Important:
The TnG ID must be included for each student you want to update.
Leave fields blank if you do not want to overwrite existing data (blank fields are ignored).
Step 3: Begin the import process
Click the Add + button in the top menu bar.
Select Import people.
Click Import students.
4. Select Import students (and related contacts)
5. Upload your updated Excel file.
Step 4: Map columns
If required, match the columns in your file to the corresponding fields in Teach ’n Go, ensuring the TnG ID field from the uploaded file is mapped correctly.
If you used the official template without changing column names, you can proceed directly.
Step 5: Verify data
The system will validate your data before processing.
Review any highlighted errors.
Edit incorrect fields directly in the import tool if needed.
Once everything is valid, complete the import.
Teach ’n Go will match each row using the TnG ID and update the relevant student records.
