Teach ’n Go allows admins to bulk import classes using an Excel template. This is a fast and efficient way to add multiple classes at once instead of creating them individually.

Step 1: Begin the import process

  1. Click the Add + button in the top menu bar.

  2. Select Import classes.

Step 2: Download and complete the template

  1. On the import page, download the Import classes template.

  2. Open the Excel file.

The template includes example rows to guide you.

  • Columns with a red header are mandatory.

  • Enter your class data in the same format as shown in the examples.

Important notes

  • Some fields require IDs (e.g. teacher ID, student ID, classroom ID).

  • You can export the relevant reports from People to obtain the correct IDs.

  • Once your data is ready, delete the example rows before uploading.

After completing the template, save the file.

Step 3: Upload the file

  1. Upload the completed Excel file to Teach ’n Go.

  2. Click Next to continue.

Step 4: Map columns

If you have not changed the column names in the template:

  • Click Next to proceed.

If column names were modified, you may need to match them manually during the mapping step.

Step 5: Verify data

The system will automatically verify your data.

  • Any invalid fields will be highlighted.

  • You can edit incorrect values directly within the import tool.

Once all errors are resolved, complete the process.

If you are importing a large number of classes, the process may take a few minutes. Please wait while the system finishes adding your classes.

Troubleshooting

  • Import failing? Check that all mandatory (red) columns are completed.

  • Invalid ID error? Confirm you used the correct Teacher, Student, or Classroom ID.

  • Incorrect format warning? Ensure dates and times match the template format.

If you experience any issues, contact support via in-app chat or email at info@teachngo.com.

Bulk importing classes saves time and ensures accurate data entry when setting up your school schedule.
