What are timed schemes?
Timed schemes allow you to add specific attendance start and end times (for example, 9:00–12:00) to a child and link these times to a particular funding scheme.
This provides clear, auditable evidence of:
When a child attended
Which scheme funded that attendance
How different sessions in the same day are funded
Timed schemes can improve compliance and transparency in attendance inspection reports.
Examples:
Child A attends 9:00–12:00 under ECCE and 12:00–17:00 under NCS
Child C attends morning sessions Monday–Thursday but afternoon sessions on Fridays
Multiple sessions with different start and end times can be added for the same child across different days.
How to read the Attendance Insights report for Timed Schemes
NCS hours claimed
These are the maximum weekly hours the State is paying subsidy for under NCS. This figure comes from Attendance Scheme > Add New Scheme > NCS > Hours per week and should match the child’s NCS award.
ECCE hours attended
These are the actual ECCE hours the child attended, based on the ECCE sessions you have set up. ECCE hours are recorded separately and are not used to assess NCS attendance.
Non-ECCE hours attended
For tracking NCS attendance, it will automatically calculate the total number of hours attended in the ‘Non ECCE hours attended’ column.
