Overview

In this biweekly update, we are announcing our new app in the Slack marketplace as well as introducing the ability to archive headcount, rather than just deleting it, in order to retain its details for auditability and easy future reference. We've also built a new sensitivity toggle that will enable internal demos of TeamOhana without any risk of exposing confidential information.

The centerpiece of our latest product release is our new Slack integration, which brings not just notifications but also headcount-related actions to your Slack workspace. Headcount decisions can be made even more efficiently than before with the TeamOhana bot notifying you when action is required in your direct messages.

We have also introduced the ability to archive headcount, which ensures that your hiring plan stays nimble throughout the ebbs and flows of business and headcount needs. Rather than deleting headcount altogether, now you can easily archive it, which keeps its details preserved should you need them in the future.

The sensitivity filter is an easy-to-access, one-click toggle that immediately and temporarily hides all sensitive information from your account. If you are sharing your screen or running an internal demo of TeamOhana, you can now rest assured that confidential data will remain confidential.

More information on these two updates, plus more feature enhancements and the third episode of our Headcount People Podcast below!

New features

The TeamOhana Slack app is live!

If you've always wanted to be able to receive your TeamOhana notifications through Slack, today is your lucky day! Integrate your TeamOhana account with Slack by adding our app from the Slack marketplace here.

Find more information about how the integration works, check out the support article in our help center.

Archive headcount

As the needs of your organization change, so do your headcount plans, and sometimes certain headcounts are no longer needed. However, if you delete your headcount in TeamOhana and need to get it back later, you'll have to re-request it and go through the approval process again. Now it's possible to archive your headcount rather than delete it, so you can easily unarchive it if your business needs change again.

Read about the implications of archiving headcount, and it works, in this how-to article.

Sensitivity Toggle

If you are a TeamOhana admin with access to employee data like compensation, job level, and job category, you can now easily hide that information by turning on the Sensitivity Toggle. The toggle is an icon on your main menu navigation that enables you to immediately and temporarily shield all confidential information in your account.

Because the icon is located on the main menu, it will be present on every page in the app so it can be easily accessed. Once the sensitivity toggle is enabled, confidential data will stay hidden until you disable the toggle.

Find out exactly which information is hidden and from where in our help center.

Enhancements

  • Updates to Budget & Forecasts time filter

  • Filter by selected visualization in Org Chart (eg visualizing by Department brings up a department filter)

  • "Tenure" added as a visualization and highlight in the Org Chart
