You can turn off Slack notifications by entering the command /surfboard updates off in the Surfboard Slack channel.
This will stop all Surfboard notifications in Slack but your status will continue to update. If you want to turn off Slack status updates follow this guide here.
To turn notifications back on enter the command /surfboard updates on.
