You can turn off Slack status updates by entering the command /surfboard status off in the Surfboard Slack channel.

This will stop your Slack status being updated by Surfboard but you will continue to receive notifications. If you want to turn off Slack notifications follow this guide here.

To turn status updates back on enter the command /surfboard status on.
