At my ball mode records the position of each of your shots to measure your true distances and your dispersion per club. You choose it on your round setup page. It's part of Teech Premium: without a subscription, your round is saved but the shot-by-shot stats stay blurred.
The hole map
The satellite map is always oriented from your ball toward the flag. If you move it, the âRecenter mapâ button puts it back.
Distances and aiming are measured from your ball (where your last shot stopped), or from the tee on your first shot.
Adjust the tee if needed: press and hold it, then drag it.
At the top of the screen, the cockpit shows the weather (wind, temperature) and the hole's elevation change. Pull its handle to fold it away.
Recording a shot
Choose your club from the list.
Play your shot, then:
On the course: walk to your ball and tap I'm at my ball. Your shot is recorded up to your current position.
Area you can't reach or forgotten shot (water, entering it at homeâŠ): move the marker to roughly where your ball stopped, then tap Use the marker position.
Move on to the next shot. A dotted line shows you the recommended club for the shot ahead.
To correct a shot, press and hold its chip: you can change the club or the lie, or delete it.
Recommendations (light bulb)
Tap the light bulb to see all the recommendations for the shot ahead: your average score on this hole, the recommended club with its dispersion zone, the Teech AI zones and the distances to hazards. This feature is for Teech Premium.
Penalties
Record the shot first: place the marker where your ball went (in the water, for example) and confirm.
Tap the Penalty button at the bottom right.
Choose the type of penalty.
The app adapts to the type you choose:
Out of bounds / Lost ball: +1 penalty stroke and back to the position of your previous shot (move the marker if needed).
Water or drop: the app asks you where you're dropping, either at your current position or at the marker position.
If you give up on the hole, tap Pick up the ball.
Putting
The app switches to putting mode when your ball reaches the green. No need to take your phone out for every putt: enter your putts on the distance scale.
With the Detailed putting option, each putt is recorded on a full page: its distance (horizontal wheel), its break (Breaks left, Straight, Breaks right) and its result. You can turn it on when you start the round or during the round, in the round settings (â).
Your partners' scores
If you play with partners, a sheet opens at the end of each hole: your score first, then one counter per partner, set to par. Adjust them, then tap Next hole; Skip keeps par. With an Apple Watch, you can also enter their scores from the watch.
To correct a score later, open your scorecard, Partners tab.
Finishing the round
Tap Finish the round, check your scorecard, then tap Sign my scorecard. You'll then see your round recap, and you can also relive it shot by shot.
