The Sample Event dashboard shows the results for samples collected and allows you to view the breakdown of each element. Within this view, you can download the shapefile of the sample, edit the sample, create a target event using the same points, create a zone from the sample data or run sample reports. This view will allow you to analyze point, grid, composite and zone sample types.
View a Sample Event
After selecting View Dashboard the following options are available:
A. Sample Data Sets - There are different types of sample data available in the sample data set. What kind of sample data depends on the sample type. For soil data, this includes soil nutrient and a nutrient recommendation (if submitted by the lab). This event displays a cotton lab recommendation that was submitted by lab via Modus. Selecting the Nutrient Recommendation displays the recommendation values.
B. Sample View - Tile or List view. From the tile view, click the inward pointing arrows to collapse to a list view (shown under number 2). When in list view click the outward pointing arrows to expand to a tile view.
C. Lab PDF - If available, a lab which submits results via MODUS also has the option to submit their Lab Report via Modus. This places a link on the sample event dashboard so you can view the Lab Report right from the dashboard.
D. Report - Select this option to generate various reports for the sample event. For more information regarding Sample Reports please see Field Sample Reports.
E. New Target Event - Create a new Target Event using the selected nutrient layer. See Add/Edit Target Event
F. Create Zone - Create a zone from a field sample using this feature.
G. New Recommendation - Create a new fertility recommendation. See Recommendation.
H. Edit - Edit the sample date, sample depth or lab.
I. Info - Select this option to see a list of general information about the sample event such as event code, lab, account number, sample date, package, sample count, date collected, plant part, crop, and growth stage.
J. Download - This will download a shapefile of the field sample and nutrients. A field boundary must be downloaded separately in Profile > Data Browser. Select the arrow icon to download the event as a CSV.
K. Detail View - This allows you to view the results of each point for every nutrient in a table format. See example under number 3.
2. When viewing the dashboard of a Zone Field Sample the option "Export as Zone" is available and the "Convert to Target" is omitted.
A. Export As Zone allows for a new zone to be created using the same zone from the sample event. This is different than selecting the results for a nutrient and then selecting "Create Zone" which would change the zone structure based on the nutrient results.

5. If provided by the lab, ratings will be displayed on the tile ranging from low to very high.
6. If provided, the lab recommendation can be viewed from the dashboard by clicking the arrow next to the sample depth at the top left of the dashboard.
Create Zone from Field Sample
To create a zone using the field sample event data select 'Create Zone' from the Field Sample Dashboard.
A window will render, select the Field Sample Event and nutrient to be used for the Zone.

Edit/Delete Nutrient Values and Sample ID Values
Editing a field sample includes the ability to edit the value, unit of measure, the description, and the extraction method.
To edit a specific nutrient select the pencil icon on the tile.
2. Adjust the desired data and select 'Save'.
💡Description entered here can be displayed on the Lab Results Map by selecting the Map Label Option of 'Sample Value Description Label'.
3. To edit a Sample ID value, select the ID tile, then select the pencil next to the ID tile.
4. A new window will render, allowing you to edit each sample ID number to a new number or delete a specific ID point.
5. Remember to click 'Save' when you have finished.
Edit Field Sample Event Information
To adjust the Lab, Package, Date or Depth, navigate to the arrow icon by the Report option and select 'Edit'.
2. Click the pencil next to 'Sample' or 'Lab' to edit either section.
