  2. Navigate to the correct interview session by selecting it from the left navigation menu, under Upcoming Events or Past Events, or by using the arrows at the top of the page

    1. Itinerary session information, including name, time, and date

    2. Applicant information, including Applicant Name, Medical School, AAMC ID, and Email

  4. Select Join Meeting to enter the virtual interview session

Note: For the best Thalamus Video experience, use the most current version of Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge. Safari is supported, but since Thalamus Video is powered by Zoom's Web SDK, some features may not work as expected. Internet Explorer is not a supported browser.

2. Update your background settings

  1. Select Join Meeting to open a new tab, where you can select and save your camera, microphone, and virtual background settings

    1. None: No background effect will be added

    2. Blur: Blurs everything visible behind you

    3. Upload Image: Lets you upload your own image as a virtual background

  4. If you select Upload Image, a file folder window will open, where you can select an image from your computer to upload

Note: The file must be no larger than 10MB and in .jpeg, .jpg, .png, or .gif format.

  5. Once selected, the image will appear in the box to the right and will update in your video preview, visible to all meeting participants

  6. To remove or replace an image, select a new image or select None

Important: These settings will be saved locally on your device and browser, and will apply automatically when you join future meetings from the same device.
