Every subscribed location has a set number of replies included each month — 10 on Basic, 20 on Pro (see Pricing & subscriptions). What happens once a location reaches that number is up to you: you can let ThreadWork keep publishing replies automatically at the extra-reply rate, or have it stop and wait for you instead. This article explains the Over usage setting that controls this.
Where to find it
Go to Billing accounts.
Click on the desired account.
Scroll down and select the location you want to configure.
Find the Over usage toggle and switch it on or off.
What each setting means
Over usage on — keep answering. Once the included replies are used up, ThreadWork keeps drafting and publishing replies for that location as normal. Every reply beyond the allowance is billed at your plan's extra-reply rate (CHF 1.20 on Basic, CHF 0.90 on Pro) and appears on your next monthly charge. Guests never notice a gap — replies keep going out on schedule.
Over usage off — pause at the limit. Once the included replies are used up, ThreadWork stops publishing new replies for that location. Drafts are still prepared for incoming reviews, but they wait in your Inbox for manual approval instead of publishing automatically. No extra charges are billed while paused.
ℹ NOTE
This setting is separate from your reply rules (which decide which replies are automated in the first place). Over usage only kicks in once you've already used up the included allowance — it decides what happens next.
Keeping an eye on it before you get there
You don't have to wait until a location hits its limit to find out:
The usage meter on your Subscription page shows replies included, used, and any extra so far — updated in real time. See Usage, invoices and payment details.
A usage alert notifies you as a location approaches its included replies, so you can adjust the Over usage setting before it matters.
Where extra replies show up on your bill
Extra replies are always billed monthly, at your plan's per-reply rate — even if your subscription itself is on a yearly cycle. You can review exactly which replies counted as "extra" in that location's usage history.
