Our goal is to empower people to proactively monitor and manage their health over time with regular testing.
Thriva uses powerful, ongoing, at-home blood testing to tell you exactly what’s happening inside your body, and what to do next. So you can push what matters when it comes to your health.
Our at-home blood tests can be done using our autodraw collection device.
Here's how it works:
1. Choose your tests and get your first subscription test
When you complete our quiz, we’ll ask a few quick questions about your health goals, habits, and background. Then we'll recommend a starting set of blood tests to help you track your health over time.
You select your tests, start your subscription online, and your test kit is sent to you by Royal Mail Tracked 24.
2. Collect your sample
Each kit contains everything you need for your simple blood test. When you're done, use the prepaid envelope and drop it in a postbox to our partner lab. They'll process your sample and then send the results through to us for review by a qualified GP.
3. Get your health report & results
We aim to upload your results to your Thriva dashboard within two working days. We'll send you a text message and email to you to let you know they've been uploaded — so keep an eye on your inbox for this.
If your test package contains a homocysteine or omegas test, you'll receive your results within 15 working days.
Your report will be created by one of our qualified GPs, with lifestyle advice related to your results. You can log in to your secure dashboard to view your results at any time. We make it really clear what the results actually mean, and we'll explain exactly what you need to do to maintain or improve them.
4. Your next subscription test
We only offer our personalised testing on a subscription basis, so you'll receive your next kit in 3 months (or at a frequency that you decide). This means you can continue to track your health at a cadence that makes sense to you. We'll send you a reminder email before your next kit is due, so that you have time to amend your package if you wish.
What should I test for?
Our health quiz will ask lifestyle, diet, health and background questions to recommend the most suitable panel of tests based on your needs.
Once you've taken the quiz, you can add or remove tests — it's all up to you.
You can find more information about health and blood tests in our Health Hub. Take a look to find out more about what our tests can tell you.
What tests do you offer?
Once you've completed the quiz here, we'll recommend tests that might be of interest to you, based on your answers.

Standalone tests:
We offer the following as standalone tests, which you can purchase separately at any time:
Can I add more tests to my package?
Depending on where you are in your Thriva journey, you may or may not be able to add more tests to your current test cycle.
Before your kit has been ordered
You can personalise your test at any point before the kit is sent to you. To do this, please go to the "Manage tests" page of your account. From here, click each test and click "add" or "remove".
Once your kit has been dispatched
We're not able to edit your test panel once your kit has been dispatched. This is because the personalised test request form in your kit, which instructs the lab which tests to run on your sample, cannot be edited due to auditing procedures.
Once you've sent off your sample
We're not able to edit your test panel once you have sent off your sample. The lab receives hundreds of samples a day and they audit the blood sample — alongside the request form — as soon as they're received. Due to this volume, they're unable to intercept samples and match them to new request forms.
If you've been unable to add a new test to your order this time, you can add this to your next test cycle from the Manage tests page of your account.
Why can't I do a one-off test?
We only offer our personalised testing on a subscription basis because we believe the most effective way to improve your health is by tracking it over time, rather than relying on a one-off snapshot.
Nearly 80% of Thriva customers find they’ve improved their health by their second blood test, which is why regular testing can be so valuable.
But you’re always in control of your subscription and can change, postpone or cancel it at any time after purchase in the Subscriptions area of your account here.
Why don't you offer these tests?
Full blood count
Because it’s not suitable for the capillary collection method.
Oestrogen testing for males
Unfortunately, we don't currently offer oestrogen testing for males, because interpreting oestrogen levels in men is a specialist area which requires knowledge which our GPs aren’t able to provide.
Magnesium
Because blood magnesium is not an accurate measure of how much magnesium is in your body. The more accurate form of this test, which measures magnesium in your red blood cells, is not suitable for the capillary collection method.
Renal / kidney function
We offer a creatinine measurement and calculation of the estimated glomerular filtration rate (eGFR). We don’t offer a full kidney test with analytes like potassium because it’s not suitable for sending samples in the post.
Zinc
Because it’s not suitable for the capillary collection method.
Fasting insulin
Because it’s not suitable for the capillary collection method.
Blood type
Because we’re a lifestyle tracking company and it’s not something you can track over time. Also, blood type testing is heavily regulated for safety so can only be done by in-person medical settings, rather than by post.
