Field Mapping your CRM integration

Map your meeting notes' topics or tags to the fields in your CRM effortlessly

Updated this week

If you’re looking for a solution to powercharge your CRM integration even further, here it is! We now support the option to Map Notes to Specific Fields in three of our native CRM integrations: Hubspot, Salesforce and Pipedrive! 🌞

With this functionality, you can ensure that you’re getting the right notes from your meeting templates into the right fields of your CRM. Here’s how:

1. Go to the Meeting Templates section:

2. Go to the Integrations page

  • Connect your chosen CRM (C)

  • Enable the custom field mapping option (D)

  • Map each CRM field to a note section from your template (E)

3. After each meeting

  • If the meeting template criteria apply to that specific meeting

  • Notes will be automatically added to the dedicated custom field in your CRM

We’re using the information we have on your meeting invitees to detect the objects where we’re keeping your notes, and we know things get busy so we’re matching them even if you’re meeting with more than one person. So let’s say that:

  • You have a meeting with 2 clients

  • You have the template topic (or tag) “Who is the decision maker” mapped to the field “Decision maker"

  • We’ll look for the Deal/Contact/Person associated with each of your 2 clients and we’ll map the the “Who is the decision maker" notes to the field “Decision maker" in both of their Deal/Contact/Person sheets

Invest your time in building relationship and rapport, not your CRM logs - tl;dv takes care of that for you!

A few things to keep in mind:

  • Hubspot requires special permissions for this feature to work seamlessly! Check this article specific to Hubspot’s Admin Access and Requirements

  • Your meeting template’s sections need to match your custom fields 1:1 on your configuration

  • If you change the object to which we’ll map the notes, you will lose the mapping you already built 😭 So if you had a custom field mapping for your Contacts, and change it to Deals, you'll have to rebuild everything from scratch

  • You can only map one object at a time, so you can have Field Mapping only for Contacts, or for Deals, or for People, depending on your CRM of choice, not for more than one object at once
