tl;dv lets you automatically share content with your organization, or your team. So what's the difference?
Organization
Your organization in tl;dv is everyone that uses tl;dv with the same email domain as you.
For example if you sign up with the email address: jack@company.com
, and your teammate Grace signs up with grace@company.com
, you'll see Grace (and everyone else from your company) here on the members settings page:
Any recordings that you publish to your organization, will be visible to Grace and anyone else who signs up in the future with an @company.com
email address.
Note:
This is not connected to your plan or subscription (if you have one).
People from your company do not need to be invited to appear in your organization - they will be connected automatically based on the domain name.
Sub-domains are not counted, so
us.company.com
andcompany.com
are considered different organizations. It is not possible to connect multiple domains as a single organization in tl;dv.
In an organization, everyone has the same level of control over their settings, there are no organization-wide defaults, or admin controls.
Team
Your team in tl;dv is everyone who shares a Pro plan with you.
A team is a subset of your organization, so everyone must still share the same
@company.com
email domain. You may have multiple teams within an organization.
Each person may only be on a single team.
Any recordings that you publish to your team will be visible to everyone on the team, but not others in the organization (unless you also publish them to your organization).
Every team must have at least one billing admin. - Billing admins may set team-wide default settings, and have full access to other members' recordings.
You may be added to an existing team by invite only.
You'll find your team information on the members settings page:
You can see:
Who is on your team.
Who are the billing admins.
If you are an admin, you can:
Upgrade people in your organization from the free plan, to share your Pro plan.
Remove people from your Pro plan.
