What does "The invitation key provided is not valid. Please ask for a new invite." mean?

Answer

Users will see this error code when the invitation they were sent is outdated or otherwise inapplicable.

To troubleshoot this error:

  1. The employee should first delete the existing invitation with the invalid link. This will make it easier for them to locate the correct link once it's sent.

  2. A manager or employer should log into Toast Web and navigate to Employees > Employee management > Employees.

  3. Locate the affected employee on this page.

  4. Hover over the blue Invited status icon and select Resend invitation.

  5. The employee should be able to use the new link in this invitation to create their account.
