β
Answer
No, it's not possible to completely remove or disable the Print button for in-store orders. You can follow the steps below to change auto-print settings, but your guests will always have the option to print their receipt (if desired) from a guest-facing display, kiosk, or handheld.
Turn off receipts for cash payments:
In Toast Web, navigate to Payments > Payment methods > Payment options.
In the Cash section, for the Cash Receipt Options setting, select No Receipt.
Save and publish your changes.
Adjust your default receipt printing behavior:
Navigate to Payments > Checks and receipt setup > Receipt setup.
Scroll down to the Closed Check Receipt, and select Only print on demand.
For the Credit Card Receipts - POS orders setting, select Automatically print merchant copy only.
Save and publish your changes.
Disable auto-printing on your device:
On each terminal or handheld, navigate to the main menu of the Toast app and Setup > Device Setup.
Set Digital Receipts to Yes.
Set Always Print Receipt to No.
Adjust your automatic printing threshold for credit card receipts:
Navigate to Payments > Payment methods > Payment options.
In the Credit section, review your Print Receipt Threshold amount and make a change if desired. For paper receipts, the POS will automatically print receipts for orders at or above the stated dollar amount.
Save and publish your changes.
