These steps MUST be done prior to your third-party provider being enabled on Toast. When the provider is enabled, your Toast gift card reports will no longer be accessible unless the provider is disabled. |
When switching to a third-party gift card provider, your current Toast gift cards will need to be imported into their system in order for them to continue to be used.
Follow the steps below to correctly export your Gift Card Data for your third-party provider:
In Toast Web, navigate to Reports > Payments > Gift Card Balances.
If there is more than one location in the restaurant group, make sure to select all stores.
Select all fields from Show / hide columns and select Update in the top right.
Export by selecting the download button next to the Show/hide columns button. Note: Depending on the size of the file, it may take a few minutes for the download to begin.
Repeat the above steps for the Inactive Gift Cards file.
Once the CSV files are downloaded, provide them to the gift card integration partner so the partner can import them into their database.
