What do I do if the suggested tip amounts do not match across receipts, online ordering, or the Guest-Facing Display?

Before You Reset
If your suggested tips show as 3%, 5%, and 7%, a service charge set up as a mandatory gratuity is probably applied to the check. When a gratuity is already on the check, Toast suggests fixed additional tips of 3%, 5%, and 7% instead of your custom percentages. These can't be edited, and the reset below won't change them. Sometimes when adjusting the Suggested Tip Amount, it won't automatically reflect on receipts, online or on the guest-facing display (GFD).
To adjust these settings in Toast Web to reflect correctly:
Navigate to Finance > Related > Settings > Payment options.
Toggle the Tip & Signature UI setting to whatever option is not currently selected.
Save and publish.
Navigate to Front of house > Order screen setup > UI options.
In the Tipping section, update Customize Tip Percentages to the correct amounts.
Save and publish.
Go back to Finance > Related > Settings > Payment options.
Toggle the Tip & Signature UI setting back to original configuration
Save and publish.
If the Reset Didn't Work
Wait a few minutes after publishing, then restart the device so it picks up the new settings.
For printed receipts, confirm Display Tip Percentages on Customer Receipts is set to Yes in Finance > Related > Settings > Guest receipt setup.
Suggested tip percentages are set in one place and apply to Toast Online Ordering, digital receipts, and the guest-facing display. You can't set different percentages for online orders.
