How do I edit the tip percentages on my online ordering site?
Answer
In Toast Web, navigate to Front of house > Order screen setup > UI options.
Scroll down to Tipping > Customize Tip Percentages setting and from there, you can adjust the tip percentage values as needed. The tip settings/values that you enter will be the same anywhere that tipping is enabled, including digital receipts, physical receipts, and Toast Online Ordering.
Note: The Default Tip Selection setting does not apply to online orders. It will only apply to POS orders.
Save and publish any changes.
If your Toast Online Ordering page shows four recommended tip percentages but only three tip options are shown on the UI options page, follow these steps to update the fourth tip option:
Navigate to Payments > Payment methods > Payment options.
Scroll down to the Credit section and find Digital Receipt Options.
For the Tips & Signature UI setting, select Use the legacy Tip screen along with the legacy signature screen.
Save your changes.
Navigate to Front of house > Order screen setup > UI options.
Scroll down to the Tipping section and edit the fourth option next to the Customize Tip Percentages setting.
Save your changes.
Return to Payments > Payment methods >Payment options.
Scroll down to the Credit section and find Digital Receipt Options.
For the Tips & Signature UI setting, select Use the combined Tip & Signature Screenif you wish to continue using this workflow with your guests.
Save and publish your changes.
