Upgrade Old Generation Hardware to Flex 3 Terminal and Printing Hub

Use this decision tree if you have the following hardware setup:

Do you have USB peripherals attached to the printer, such as scanners, card readers, scales, caller ID, and/or charging docks?
1. If yes, go to .
2. If no, go to .
Replace both terminal & printer:
1. Choose 14" Flex 3 Countertop Terminal + Printing Hub (TP300)
  
  Note: Replacement of both devices is necessary to establish a data connection between them, allowing peripherals to be plugged into the Printing Hub (TP300) and to communicate with the 14" Flex 3 Countertop Terminal.

Note: There will be no USB-C to stand cable in this configuration, so each device will require its own power supply.

Installation Steps After Receiving Your Hardware Upgrades

Power off your Flex 14 (Old Gen), then disconnect the Ethernet and USB-C cables from the terminal. Note: Leave the cables connected to the Toast Printer (TP200).
Place the 14" Flex 3 Countertop Terminal in your preferred location.
Lift the neck until the terminal screen reaches its highest position.
Tilt the screen forward until it stops rotating, aligning it with the front of the Toast logo.
Gently push up on the base cover until it releases and opens, revealing the ports.
To power the 14" Flex 3 Countertop Terminal, connect the USB-C cable to the Toast Printer (TP200).
For internet connection, connect the Ethernet cable from the 14" Flex 3 Countertop Terminal to the Toast Printer (TP200).
The Toast Printer (TP200) Power Supply will continue to power both the Toast Printer (TP200) and the 14" Flex 3 Countertop Terminal with the existing USB-C to stand cable.

Note: The Toast Flex for Guest is not compatible with a 14" Flex 3 Countertop Terminal + a Toast Printer (TP200) setup. It is recommended to upgrade to the Printing Hub (TP300) and Flex 3 Guest Display.

Power off the Toast Printer (TP200).
Depending on your setup, disconnect the USB-C cable and the power supply.
Move the Toast Printer (TP200) Power Supply to be connected to Flex 14.
To connect the Printing Hub (TP300) to your Flex 14 (Old Gen), open the printer's back cover.
Connect the Printing Hub (TP300) power adapter to the printer, then plug it into a wall outlet.
The printer will power on automatically.
1. Note:
  1. The Flex 14 (Old Gen) will be powered independently using the Toast Printer TP200 power supply.
  2. Use only the supported cables. Don’t use the Power Plus cable, and don’t plug the Printing Hub (TP300) into the Flex 14 with a USB cable.
Connect an Ethernet cable from the Flex 14 (Old Gen) to the Ethernet In port on the printer.
