Question
How do I update the firmware on my Toast Go® handheld?
Answer
Firmware updates are separate from Toast app updates. |
To manually update the firmware on your handheld device, first, select your handheld model:
Toast Go® 2 Firmware Update
In the Toast app, swipe up on the screen to display the Android navigation bar. Select the home button.
From the Android home screen, select the Settings (gear) icon.
Select System.
Select Advanced.
Select System updates.
If the current version is not equal to or higher than 1.1.52, select Check for update. This will manually trigger your device to check for the latest update.
Note: If a new update is not detected immediately, you can select Check for updates up to 3 times. If the update is still not detected, contact Toast Customer Care for further assistance.
After an update is detected, select Install now and then OK. It may take several minutes for the update to be downloaded and installed on your device.
When the firmware update is complete, select Restart now to apply the update to your device.
You'll then be prompted to complete a brief setup workflow on your device. To confirm your device's new firmware version, repeat steps 1-6 and ensure the current version is equal to or higher than 1.1.52.
