Elo V4 Tablet Overview

We want to inform you about a temporary change in our hardware shipping. Due to a recent supply chain issue, there was a gap between June 1st and June 27th where some orders for POS terminals, KDS tablets, and Kiosk tablets were fulfilled with the Elo V4 as a replacement for the standard Elo V2.

As of June 30th, we are shipping the Elo V2 for these devices as usual.

The Elo V4 was provided as a direct replacement to ensure your order was not delayed. Both versions offer a seamless experience with your Toast system. If you have any questions about the Elo device you received, please don't hesitate to contact us.

Elo V4 Tablet Swap FAQ

I thought I was going to receive the Elo V2, but it appears that I have an Elo V4. What happened?

This change was due to a supply chain issue with the Elo V2. We took the liberty of upgrading you, at no additional cost, rather than having you wait for your original hardware.

Will the device work the same as the Elo V2?

The Elo V4 has all of the same features and attributes as the V2, but has 3 key upgrades:

      • It is a more secure device due to an operating system upgrade from Android A8 to Android A10

      • It is a faster device due to an increase in device memory

      • It has an updated chipset, which provides better overall performance

Will this V4 work with the Elo GFD device I used with V2?

Unfortunately, no, as the input/output (IO) is a different configuration.

I would prefer the Elo V2, what do I do?

You can return your device (as per Toast's return policy), and we will send you an Elo V2 once they are back in stock.
