How Discounts Report in Toast
DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats discounts are reflected in Toast reporting. These discounts appear on the order and receipt and in Toast reporting, ensuring that sales totals match the actual order value.
Note:
Grubhub discounts are currently being rolled out in phases and will not be available to all locations until November.
Opting out of DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats discounts appearing in Toast is not currently supported.
In Toast Web, DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats discounts are reflected in the following reports:

Discount Funding Types
Customers can create three types of discounts on DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats orders, and each reports in Toast differently:
Restaurant-funded: The restaurant covers the full discount. This reports in Toast like a standard discount.
Delivery partner-funded: DoorDash, Grubhub, or Uber Eats covers the full discount. This discount does not report or show on the check in Toast.
Co-funded: The restaurant and the delivery partner each cover a portion of the discount. This reports in Toast, but only the restaurant-funded portion appears; the delivery partner-funded portion is not shown.
Note: DoorDash, Grubhub, and Uber Eats control pricing and promotions for orders placed through their platforms. Toast displays the values these partners send for the restaurant-funded portion of the discount.
Why Tax May Differ From Net Sales on Co-Funded Discounts
Co-funded discounts can make Toast's tax amount look high relative to net sales. Toast's net sales reflect only the restaurant's share of the order, meaning what Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub actually pays out, net of the discount. But Toast's tax amount is calculated on the full discounted price paid by the guest, including the portion the delivery partner funded. This gap between the two figures is expected.
For a detailed tax breakdown and to confirm your tax liability, review reports directly in Uber Eats, DoorDash, or Grubhub, and consult a tax advisor.
