Export Tickets from Touchplan to P6 Using the P6 XER Format

Export tickets from Touchplan back into Primavera P6 using the P6 XER format to transfer schedule information between the two platforms.

Recommendation: For the cleanest export into P6, we recommend ensuring that your master schedule tickets in Touchplan are connected with logic ties. You can:

Step 1: Create a P6 XER Template

Before exporting tickets, create a P6 XER template to use when exporting data from Touchplan to P6.

Follow the steps in Export Tickets from P6 in an XER Format.

Step 2: Export Tickets from Touchplan

Once your P6 XER template is ready:

Click the three-dot menu at the top of the Phase Plan List.
Select Export Tickets.
From the Export Format drop-down menu, select P6 Primavera XER.
Click Choose Template and upload the most recent XER schedule from your computer.
Set the desired filters, including: Start and end date, phase plans, location, roles, and external linkage.
Click Run Report.
Once the report is complete, click Download.

Important: The P6 XER export is designed to transfer and update schedule information between Touchplan and P6 rather than function as a true two-way synchronization. Any Touchplan tickets that share an External Schedule ID with a ticket in P6 will replace the corresponding P6 ticket when the exported schedule is imported into P6.
