How To Enable Precision Time Planning on a New Plan in Touchplan

Written by Corrine Shuler

Precision Time Planning gives teams the ability to plan, coordinate, and manage work by the hour and minute when projects demand greater precision. This feature can only be enabled when creating a new plan.

If you need to enable Precision Time Planning on an existing plan, contact the Touchplan Support team through Support > Live Chat or email Support@touchplan.io for assistance.

To create a plan using Precision Time Planning:

  1. Open your project in Touchplan

  2. Select + Plan at the top of the Phase Plan List

  3. Enter the following details: Plan Name, Start Date, End Date

  4. Select ‘Use a 24x7 schedule for this plan’

  5. Click Save

Once the plan is created, Precision Time Planning will be enabled. This will allow all activities in the plan to be scheduled with hourly and minute-level precision! Click here for step-by-step instructions on creating tickets using Precision Time Planning.

Note: Once Precision Time Planning is enabled, it cannot be disabled. The plan uses a fixed 24/7 schedule (Monday–Sunday, 24 hours per day) designed for hour and minute based planning. This schedule cannot be edited after creation, and non-working days outside of the project and role work schedule will still appear on the plan.
