Tourmie connects with the Nuki smart lock, providing a fully automated check-in process that enhances your guests’ arrival experience and simplifies the management of your property.

How the integration works

1. Account Connection:

Your Nuki account is securely connected to your Tourmie account, creating a seamless integration between the two systems.

2. Automatic Code Generation:

For every new booking, Tourmie automatically generates a unique access code for the corresponding Nuki smart lock.

3. Code Delivery:

The access code is automatically sent to your guest via email, SMS, or WhatsApp before their arrival.

Connect Nuki to Tourmie

To connect your Nuki account to Tourmie and link your locks to your properties, follow the steps below:

Step 1: Connect your accounts

  • Log into your Tourmie account.

  • From the menu, go to Integrations.

  • In the Smart Home Automations tab, find Nuki and click Connect.

  • You'll be redirected to the official Nuki login page. Enter your credentials and authorize the connection.

  • Once connected, you’ll be redirected back to Tourmie. Click Manage to map your properties to the corresponding Nuki locks and configure basic settings.

Step 2: Map your Nuki Smart locks to your properties

To map your Nuki smart locks to the corresponding properties in Tourmie:

  • Go to the Smart locks tab.

  • Click the Add icon (+).

  • In the Tourmie Property dropdown menu, select the property you want to link with a Nuki lock. In the Property Lock dropdown menu, select the specific smart lock that corresponds to the chosen Tourmie property.

For each property, repeat the process to ensure all Tourmie properties are properly linked to their respective Nuki locks.

Once you’ve completed the mapping, click the Update button.

Guest Access Settings

Once you've completed the above steps, you can configure additional settings that control guest access to your smart locks.

How to configure access settings:

  1. From the Smart locks tab, find the property or building lock you'd like to configure and click Settings.

  2. Enable or disable the available options based on your preferences:

  • Allow guests to open the smart lock directly from the digital guest guide. The guest will see a “Open door” button in the guest guide and can open the door without needing a physical key or separate app.

    View a live demo here.

  • Allow smart lock access only through the guest’s personalized guide. The “Open door” button will only be available in the guest’s personalized guide, preventing access from shared links like the generic and property guide.

  • Allow smart lock access only after the guest has submitted the check-in form. The button becomes active only once the guest completes and submits the check-in form.

  • Allow smart lock access only when the guest is within a specified distance from the property. The button appears only when the guest is within a specified distance from the property (e.g. within 50 meters).

3. Click Apply changes to save your settings.

Note 1: After the guest’s stay ends, the “Open door” function is automatically disabled and no longer accessible to the guest.

Note 2: The “Open door” function can be locked and set to become available automatically a specific number of days or hours before the guest’s arrival, for enhanced security.

To lock this function:

  • Locate the field “Door code” or “Door code (building)” and click Edit.

  • Set the time period (e.g. 30 minutes before arrival) when the field should unlock and the “Open door” function will become available to the guest.

Automatic Code Generation Settings

From the General settings tab, you can enable or disable automatic code generation options for your smart locks.

  • Automatic code generation when a booking is created. Tourmie will generate a unique code for the corresponding lock for every new guest.

  • Automatic code update for the locks and in the Nuki application. The code will be automatically sent to the Nuki system to activate it on the lock—no manual action needed.

  • Generate code using the first 6 digits of the guest's phone number. The access code is automatically created using the first 6 digits of the guest’s phone number.

  • Generate code using the last 6 digits of the guest's phone number. The access code is automatically created using the last 6 digits of the guest’s phone number.

When automatic code generation is enabled, Tourmie generates unique codes for each booking and sends them to Nuki’s API to activate them on the corresponding locks.

Note: After the guest checks out, the code is automatically deleted from the Nuki system.

Manage & Update Lock Codes

Tourmie allows you to manage and update lock codes either through the Tourmie platform or the Nuki app. Synchronization between the two ensures that codes remain up-to-date and functional.

A. Update Codes in Nuki

  • Use the Nuki Mobile App.

  • Utilize other external tools provided by Nuki.

B. Update Codes in Tourmie

  • From a listed property:

    • Go to the Properties page.

    • Select the property where you want to update the lock code.

    • Navigate to the Check-in & Check-out tab.

    • In the Check-in details section, update the lock code in the field Door Code or/and Door Code (building).

  • From a guest booking:

    • Go to the Bookings page.

    • Find the booking for which you want to update the lock code and click on the booking ID.

    • In the Booking Details tab, click Edit.

    • Update the lock code in the field Door Code or/and Door Code (building).

Note: Six-digit codes cannot contain the number "0" or start with "12."

Remote Smart Lock Access via the Property Page

From each property's page in Tourmie, you can remotely open the door of the property or building using the connected smart locks.

Note: The following instructions apply only to remote unlocking performed by you as the host. If you want to set up remote access for your guests through their personal digital guide, please refer to the detailed steps in the Guest Access Settings section.

How it works:

  1. Go to the Properties page and open a property that has a linked lock.

  2. In the Remote access section, you’ll see the available locks.

  3. Click Open property door or Open building door to open the corresponding smart lock remotely.

💡 This is particularly useful for:
• Granting access to guests, cleaners, or technicians without being on-site.
• Testing the lock before check-in.
• Assisting guests who experience access issues.
• Handling last-minute changes or emergencies.
It offers extra flexibility and control, ensuring a smooth experience for both you and your guests.
