Tee Time Selection During Event Registration

For events using Event Registration, sometimes the manager would like the registrants to not only be able to register but also select their tee time using Open Tee Times. This can all be done during the event registration process using the combination of Event Registration and Open Tee Times. This type of event registration can be used for:

  • Individual or team registration

  • Registration with or without payments

  • Member only, guest only, or member + guest registration

In this article, we will discuss how to set up and manage this type of event registration.

Setting Up Tee Time Selection During Event Registration:

To set up tee time selection during Event Registration, follow these instructions:

  1. Add the round(s) to the event.

  2. Set up Open Tee Times for the round(s). You do not need to set open/close times for the rounds. This will be controlled by using Event Registration.

  3. If setting up team registration, make sure to go to Rounds > Round Profile > Signups & Scheduling and enter the number of players per registration (as shown below).

  4. Go to Event > Registration Center > Registration Enablement tab. Select "Enable Registration" and Enable credit card payments (if necessary).

  5. Click "Save".

  6. In the Registration Center, go to the "Registration Setup" tab. Set up the registration form. When setting up the registration form, select the option to allow registrants to select their tee time (as shown below). Further, you call allow registrants to select their preferred round tee times:

    1. Before they register.

    2. After they register.

  7. Click "Save" to make the changes to the Registration Center.

When registration opens, the following will take place:

  • Round Signups will automatically open for all rounds with Open Tee Times (allowing registrants to select their tee time).

  • The Open Tee Times Portal Page will automatically be added to the event portal (if it has not been added yet).

Player Registration Process:

When registering for an event that allows tee time selection, registrants complete the registration form then select their tee time.

The sequence below shows an individual registering for an event (without payments) and selecting their tee time

If collecting payments during registration, registrants will complete the registration form, complete the payment form, and select their tee time.

If using team registration, the selected tee time will automatically populate with all team players.

If Multi-Event Registration is used, registrants can select their tee times for the events once they reach the registration confirmation screen (as shown below).

Changes and Cancellations:

If a player would like to change their tee time, they can go to Open Tee Times Portal Page, select "Change Tee Time" (as shown below), choose their new tee time, and click "Done."

If a player would like to edit or completely cancel their event registration, they can go to the registration page on the portal. Once registration is canceled, they will be removed from the tee sheet as well.

As always, the manager can also add, remove, and move players on the tee sheet by going to Rounds > Edit Tee Sheet.
