Instructions for your Players to Register for a Tee Time on the Portal

Updated over 4 months ago

This feature is only available with the following products:

In this article, we will discuss how players can register for rounds and select their tee times when the Open Tee Times feature is used.

How the Players can Register for Tee Times:

Once the manager opens signups for a round, players can sign up for the round and select their tee time. They can do this by following the instructions below:

  1. Go to the Open Tee Times page on the event or league portal.

  2. If the player is logged into the portal, they will not be asked to search and select their name from the dropdown. If the player is not logged in, they will be asked to search and select their name from the dropdown and they may also be asked to answer a custom field answer to verify themselves (if the manager requires).

  3. After selecting their name in the dropdown, they will click "Next".

  4. The player can then click "Select" for the tee time they would like to choose.

  5. If the manager allows players to sign up other members or guests, the players can also select their tee times.

  6. They can then click "Done" to save the tee time.

The player will get an automated email confirming their tee time, players in the group, date, and round name.

The sequence below shows the process of a player, who is not logged in, selecting a tee time.

When signups are open, players can return to this page to change their tee time (if desired). They can do this by selecting the options above the tee sheet (as shown below).

(Note: If multiple players can be added to the tee sheet, we implement a concept of "locking the slots". When a registrant selects a tee time, we lock a certain number of slots in that tee time for the registrant. For instance, if the registrant can register up to 3 total players, then we will lock that number of slots [if still available in that tee time]. Keep in mind that the registrants will lose their "locked slots" after 10 minutes of inactivity.)
