This feature is only available with the following products:
Many clubs have junior golf programs or youth clinics where members can register their children. Our Junior Golf Registration feature is a form of Event and League Registration for members to register their children. (Note: When using Junior Golf Registration, registration with credit card payments is not possible). We suggest using this feature if you use registration for junior programs.
β
These programs may or may not include golf rounds. Some programs are organized like leagues where children play rounds, and our system is used to manage these rounds. Some programs are simply teaching clinics where no rounds are played. In either case, this feature can be used for online registration.
If using this feature, remember that payments are NOT possible with credit cards.
In this article, we will discuss how to set up and manage Junior Golf Registration.
Junior Golf Registration Setup:
After creating an event or league for the program, go to League/Event > Registration Center > Registration Enablement. For more details on all the options within the Registration Center, Click Here.
Select "Enable Registration" and "This is a Junior Golf League/Event." Save the changes (as shown below).
β
Then within the Registration Center, go to the "Registration Setup" tab to set up the registration form. The registration setup is similar to the usual registration setup. However, there are some additional options:
(Note: It is important to understand that the parents must be listed in the master roster so they can register their children.)
Select the minimum and maximum number of children a parent can register. Are all the member's children listed in the master roster? If so, select "Only children existing on the master roster." If not, select "Only children outside the master roster." There may also be cases where your membership only has some of their children listed on the master roster. If so, select "Children both in and outside the master roster."
Email addresses for the children are optional. This field can be included in the registration form, if it is, it should be made optional. If there is no email address for a child, we will internally create one with the child's first name appended to the parent's name (e.g., "jsmith+steve@gmail.com). Just as we do now, if you send an email to all golfers, we will send an email to the parent's email address (strip out the + child name) and insert the child's first name into the top of the message so that they know that this email applies to their son and not their daughter.
β
Also, note that we have a "Date of Birth" field below to handle these programs. If you need to split the registrants into age groups later, this will be helpful.

Once the form is created, add at least one round to the event. If this event/program is a "one-timer," only one round is needed. However, if this is a junior league with multiple rounds, a program where children can be registered for multiple clinics, or any other case where the parents have options on what to sign their children up for, create multiple rounds. Then go to Rounds > Open Round Sign Ups for all rounds (If the option is disabled, add a dummy player to the event first.)
How Parents Register Their Children:
Once registration is open, the parents can go to the portal for the event and register their children.
Look at the registration process above. This clinic allows parents to register children who may or may not be on the master roster. Beth Johnson is registering her daughter Betsey (who is on the master roster). Beth will also get a confirmation email after the registration.
If parents need to also sign their children up for multiple rounds within the event during the registration process, they will be presented with an additional step after selecting/entering the children.
Take a look at the registration process above. Beth Johnson is registering her daughter Betsey (who is on the master roster) and her friend Caroline Smith (who is not on the master roster). After registering them, all rounds where "Round Signups" is open will be listed, and Beth can select which rounds each child will be attending. In the sequence above, Beth is registering both children for the Short Game Clinic and Putting Clinic. However, the children will not be attending the Playing Clinic.
