Assigning Referees to Pairing Groups

For major championships, sometimes a referee is assigned to every pairing group in the competition. After assigning referees to pairing groups for a round, you can:

In this article, we will discuss how to assign referees and include them in reports.

Assigning Referees:

To assign referees to pairing groups, follow these instructions:

  1. Go to Rounds > Edit Existing Pairings.

  2. Click "Manage Referees" (as shown below).

  3. Enter the referee name for every pairing group (as shown below).

  4. Click "Save".

The referees will then be assigned to pairing groups. At any time, you can view and edit the referees by going back to "Manage Referees".

Also keep in mind that the referees will remain in the same position when:

  • Swapping players

  • Swapping pairs

  • Swapping pairings

  • Moving pairings

However, the referees will follow to the new position when:

  • Swapping holes

  • Moving holes

Creating Reports With Assigned Referees:

After assigning referees to pairing groups, you can then create reports with the Report Composer using the "Foursome Referee" data field (as shown below).

Referees are also available to be included in spreadsheets using the Spreadsheet Composer.
