Spreadsheet Composer

Updated over 4 months ago

This feature is available for the following products:

The Spreadsheet Composer gives you the ability to create, customize, and build spreadsheets to be used however you'd like. Simply put, you tell us what data you'd like on the spreadsheet and how you'd like it displayed.

In this article, we will discuss the details of this feature and the process for creating custom spreadsheets.

Creating a New Spreadsheet:

To access the Spreadsheet Composer, go to Rounds > Report Center > New Document > New Spreadsheet. Select or enter the following:

  • Name: Name the spreadsheet so that you can identify it later. In the event the name you entered matches the document in the Community Reports, the system will identify reports with matching fields based on name, category, and tags. When a matching document is found, the number of reports and a link to the community reports will be provided for quick access (as shown below).

  • Display Data For: Select the type of data (player, pair, foursome, team) you'd like to add to the spreadsheet.

In the example spreadsheet above, the data is listed by "Player." Selecting the type of data (player, pair, foursome, team) is important and will determine what fields will be available to be added to the spreadsheet. For instance, selecting "Player" will only allow you to put the Handicap Index for one player on one row (or column). Selecting foursome will allow you to put Handicap Indexes for all four players on one row.

  • Spreadsheet Format: Would you like each player, pairs, foursomes, or team's data listed in a separate column or row? In the example spreadsheet above, the players are listed by column.

  • File Format: Download the spreadsheet in XLS, XLSX, or CSV format.

  • Fields: What data do you want in the spreadsheet?

  • Filter (Customer Center Only): The ability to filter by season in the Spreadsheet composer in Customer Center when selecting to Display Data for Players. This allows you to only gather information for the players that participated in events/leagues for a certain season.

  • Report Center: Select the categories to include the spreadsheet report.

Download the spreadsheet once the parameters are selected. The spreadsheet will then be downloaded unless the spreadsheet is displaying data for players (instead of pairs, foursomes, or teams). In that case, there will be some download options (as shown below).

Download For: What players (and their data) should be downloaded on the spreadsheet? Only players on the tee sheet, confirmed players in the round, or all players in the event/league roster?

Sort Players: How would you like the players sorted in the spreadsheet?

Once the spreadsheet is saved and downloaded, it can always be accessed to be printed or further edited by going to the Report Center category it was included in.

Example Process:

See the example below as we create a spreadsheet displaying player data on every row. The data includes last name, first name, and tee time.

Here is the spreadsheet that is populated from that example.
